Some prefer to say the Bakasha/Invocation of Rabbi Bachya ibn Pekudah instead of Tefila Zakah between Kol Nidrei and Maariv.

Chovos HaLevavos - Bakasha (Hebrew Translation from Arabic of R' Kaphiach) - Rabbeinu Bachya ibn Pekudah

Chovos HaLevavos - Invocation (English Translation of Yaakov Feldman) - Rabbeinu Bachya ibn Pekudah

Schedule for Yom Kippur 5783/2022

Eruv is OPERATIVE - Tuesday, October 4th 2022 - Erev Yom Kippur.

Candle Lighting: (in Far Rockaway,NY) ~06:14 PM EDT

One should also remember to light a 24 hour candle for use in Havdalah as a Neir SheShavas after Yom Kippur.

The candle for Borei Meorei HaEish must have 2 wicks.
One may maintain a 24 hour candle that has only 1 wick, and then after Yom Kippur,
light another candle or match from the 24 hour candle, and keep them together for the Beracha.

One should not use a Yahrtzeit candle that is designated for the memory of a person who has passed.

There is an idea of Tosefes Yom by Yom Kippur so one should make sure to accept Yom Tov a few minutes before Shekia if one drives to Shul.

Shekia: ~06:32 PM EDT
